Sunset Gold pics
#41
If memory serves me, the 2009 model year was VERY short... so by November '08, the '09s would have had already been out since late August/September, and the 2010 refresh was then teased early to get people excited about it. It's also possible that internet forum folk like us got leaked pics a little early and posted them. If you Google 2010 Mustang reveal, the results are from November 2008.

Buying a car and keeping it in storage is NEVER an investment unless it's some super rare Ferrari or Shelby, like the ones that cross the block on Barrett Jackson or Mecum.

The reality is there's nothing so particularly special about our Mustangs that we can expect any kind of investment status. Sunset Gold certainly is beautiful and uncommon, but color won't elevate the car.
Even S197 GT500's though desirable, have not reached auction-level values unless one is singularly special, but that would be an extreme exception. The new GT350's might have a shot in the future many years from now, particularly a GT350R, but considering the enormous ADM's that are artificially inflating their prices now, it'd be many many years before any possibility of a return on investment.
By all means, keep your Mustang in the garage if you can when you're not able to drive it. But drive it as often as practical. Colors like Sunset Gold and Lava Red are head turners because of their rarity. They need to be seen.
