Sharpie that gt500 looks badass man, hadn't seen a gray w/ stripe delete. Very clean, and those rims suit it just right.

Sweet, axle back?

 

Yep, just axle back, i don't see the need for a cat back system with the kind of driving i'm doing. I just feel this car needs some sound identity. I come from the old school, '69 Mach1 , 351W big Comp cam . If 'ya know what i'm sayin'.

NICE! I know we'll never get a lope like that with our razor-tuned VCT, and that's part of the charm for me. Sheez, the 1969 Boss and Mach-1 are my favorite Mustangs of all (until the 2011s came out).

Feels funny to say thx when it's now in someonelse's hands now, but i did all the restoration, so i think i deserve a bit of credit here. It was sold new here in this province back in 1969 and sold it to a guy that lives not too far from here, so i get to see it once in a while, which is great. Almost went south of the border when on e-bay, but made sure it stayed here.

Car and wheels look amazing....just wish the RTR's didn't have that offset. I think they stick out too much.

 

REALLY STICK OUT SAY COMPARE TO THE SHELBY GT500 SVT WHEELS??I SAW THE 19" AND 20" REAR ON THE SHELBY AND THEY LOOK FINE TO ME. WHAT IS THE OFFSET FOR THE 19" OFFERED BY FORD?? SOMEONE PLEASE EDUCATE ME ON THIS OFFSET ISSUE..I LIKE THE VNR WHEELS ALSO BUT THERE IS TALK OFFSET IS OFF??? HELP PLEASE

 

All i know for sure is that the offset of the RTR wheels is 33. Don't know about the Ford ones. Maybe someone can chime in on this one.

 

How do they do in cooler weather, say sunny/dry conditions but with air temp below 40F/approaching freezing?

Do you use an all-season tire for the winter or do you just park it once the summer is over?

Hasn't really gotten really cool over here, so can't say for now. But these are the best performance tires i've ever had on a sports car.
Car will be parked for the winter season. It'll be a sad day on November the 15th.

Have you installed your Bassani axleback yet, Dan?

 

Tell me about it, they've been back ordered for weeks now, i'm waiting on Dallas Mustangs to ship them asap. Hopefully this week. Nobody has them in stock, seems to be a big demand for these axle back. This is crasy. The only one i know that has them on his car is Steve aka Modshack. (lucky SOB ).

 

That's good to know. I have read many good things about the Conti Extreme DW and what I assume is the all-season variant, the DWS. The DWS apparently gives up some dry cornering performance in exchange for excellent straight-line stability and wet braking in cooler temps and bad weather.
