I like seeing the shaker scoop from the driver's seat as it reminds me of the view I had out of my first car, a 1976 Cobra II. It's just my thing to enjoy.
If you read what I typed I said it was a scoop on top of a dome. I said it reminded me of a spoiler on top of a spoiler. Yes a REAL Shaker does look good. A TMS member had one on his 2010 and it looked real good. In my opinion...this thing does not look good

Ain't my thing, but to each their own....

I say if you like the little scoop then slap it on, who cares about what anyone else thinks.

Anyway, do you have any more pictures of your car?

Right-O! And if someone wants me to have a real shaker better than my fake scoop then they can buy it for me... Or take up a sympathy collection among the wealthy and elitist Boss and Shelby owners...

Pictures of my car coming in a few days when I take delivery...

I never said you shouldn't or couldn't do it. It's your car. I just said it wasn't for me is all. Who is a wealthy Boss owner? I work my *** off to get what I got.....

I finally took delivery of my newer Pony! I am waiting for my black hood scoop, black magnetic decklid panel trim and my black taillamp trim.

I installed the Pony spinner caps on the wheels and they fit but they really do not look very impressive on the style wheel that I have. I'll leave them on there a while and see how I feel.

I am very pleased with all the 2010 upgrades and changes. Some things were a complete surprise. The interior sure is quieter when driving. However I had driven the new 2012 Focus long enough that I got used to it and it felt strange to drive the larger Mustang again. I also got spoiled by the keyless ignition and entry on the Focus and kept forgetting to take the key out of my pocket to unlock and drive the Mustang.

Got the black magnetic decklid trim. It looks much better without all that white space on the decklid.

Now that I have a two-car garage with a garage door opener, I will be installing a Homelink unit in the headliner in front of the overhead dome lamp console.

Dam I like that tail light frame. I just don't know if I'll like it on mine.

Looks really nice! I am amazed the '07-'09 hood scoop fit the contours of the '10+ hood. Did you drill holes and attach it? Also, which magnetic blackout did you get for the decklid and which taillight surround piece? Thanks!

It fits the hood perfectly as long as you back it away from the front curvature of the dome on the hood. I have not secured the scoop with screws yet. I wanted to see how well it does with just the tape which seems to be really strong. If I had not drilled for screws on my 08 model I would have removed that scoop and used it on this newer one.

I got the tail lamp surrounds from American Muscle... Matte black is on sale for $99 right now. They also come painted for a premium. The magnetic decklid blackout I got from this eBay seller who is the patent owner who supplies the big boys:

Understand...hopefully the tape works well.

Thanks for the info. If you get a chance, would you mind taking a photo of the decklid blackout piece with the trunk open. I'd really like to see how it fits around the edges. From straight on, it looks good. I've debated getting one until I got a chance to see that. Appreciate it!

The magnetic blackout is made slightly oversized to compensate for shrinkage and to give a tight fit around the faux gas cap emblem. You actually run your fingernail under the faux cap to set the magnetic material under it so that it shows no body color when installed. It's also slightly larger than the trunklid edges to hide the body color when viewed from certain angles.

Here are my latest mods:

I installed a Homelink remote garage door opener in my overhead map light console by hiding the unit underneath and providing a simple small pushbutton to activate it.

I modifed the front sidemarker lamps so that they flash with the front turn signals when the headlamps are off and alternately with the headlamps on.

I swapped out the door lock ***** for chrome ones. Looks more upscale.

I installed LED's to replace the regular bulbs in my map lights, license plate lights and trunk light.

I am in the process of converting the single exhaust to dual exhaust. I picked up a set of GT mufflers locally. I bought a left side extension pipe and now I am waiting for an X-pipe, muffler hangers and clamps.

I have already replaced the rear valance with a 2011 GT style dual outlet valance with the louvered appearance. I have also replaced the right hand muffler with the GT muffler and just changing that one makes a much nicer sound than the standard V6 muffler.

I just received an order for chrome door handle covers and put them on. I like the added bling in the context that they are chrome like classic Mustang door handles were and tie in with the polished aluminum wheels and original equipment chrome exterior and interior accents here and there.
