GPS update for Factory installed unit

Is anyone aware of any way to update the GPS info? The last update from Ford was in 2019, and they say they no longer support the GPS and no further updates will come. They also told me that they are not aware of anyone (2nd party) that can supply updated GPS info. I would love to be able to update the road maps if nothing else as there have been lots of new roads and re-routing of roads since 2019

Sorry no help here. Looks like the 2019 update was the end of the road... I don't have the Nav package, but I find my cellphone navigation is always up to date and the route I have gone. Experience with past vehicles with built in nav is much like you are seeing now. It is great when the car is new, but they give up on it after a few updates. Always after the cash flow with the newer technology in the current cars.

Good luck on you search.

Or consider aftermarket GPS navigation, such as Garmin.

Yes sir!!! That's us m05fastbackGT
I'm curious. Does the Ford GPS prohibit use (punching in info) while driving?? My Dodge will not allow it unless you are stopped. I would never attempt using the GPS but my wife is the navigator and is constantly using the Garmin while we drive. The Dodge unit is worthless to us. Zero value. I'm glad my '14 GT doesn't have it but wondering about the Ford models that do. Can you punch in things while driving?

You cannot on the stock unit, but Coastal Lock Pick makes it so you can.

Shut the Grandson up when I stuck a DVD in last October when he was here also, No video on the stock unit when moving but it allows that also. I actually needed it back in 2013 to turn on the back up camera since the option was not on the car when I bought it. Now I think I can turn it on with ForScan but I already have Lockpick.
