hi all

recently I took my mustang to germany to install an SCT tune. this place is one of the few in europe where this is available. it was a custom tune, not one of these pre-set programs. there I was given the advice that, especially now with the tune, I should only get premium gas, not regular. this was also the reason why the performance figures were not quite as expected, but still I'm really satisfied with the result! the premium fuel makes about 10 HP difference so I can actually add this to these figures.

before the tune I had 403 HP and 377 lb ft of torque. after the tune it was 438 HP and 404 lb ft. so I guess with the premium fuel it's close to 450 HP now.

and here my question. recently I discovered som youtube videos of 5.0 mustangs with a cam tune. they sounded totally badass, exactly like the old school muscle cars! so I'm wondering, it this something that can be done just with the handheld SCT thing or does this nead anything additional? plus, is the car louder at idle or does it just sound different?
