Still waiting on my 2012 Kona Blue 5.0 to arrive. Looking at these sweet *** cars is about to make me puke waiting. Mine is a "stripper" model; the only option is an Auto. I even got the spoiler delete. Going stright to Steeda for the CAI and tune when it arrives. What are the biggest tires that will fit on the stock 18's and still have a good contact patch (Drag radials)--? I'm definately into the sleeper look but may end up getting wheels sometime (nothing too fancy though).

 

As I drove to work today, surrounded by metallic beige (aka champagne), grey, black, and white cars I thought "I NEED my Kona Blue! The cars around here are far too boring". And then I realized that my white rental POS is part of the problem.

My '05 *almost* made it through the 9th snowiest winter in KC since they've been keeping track. After a 2 inch sleet then snow night, I was rear ended because I was stopped for an accident in front of me. $10,449.14 in damage later, the insurance company totalled it. The frame was bent, so I think that it was probably for the best...

I was planning to keep it for at least 3-4 years, and I almost had stripes painted on last fall. Now I'm glad I waited.

 

Saw the Thread title, had to chime in. I too was sick of waiting.......... on my 2012 Lava, Sooooooo, took delivery of a near bone stock 400A KONA!!

I AM a happy camper!!

 

We have been Waiting for New Models impatiently at TMS since 04! Some things never change! I have personally been down that Path Three times with my 05 Gt, 07 GT/CS and 07 Gt-500. Seems to take forever! The scary thing was those of us that ordered the 05's early really did not know exactly what we were getting. Info was SCARCE!

I still believe the dealership here was full of it. I ordered my 2012 on day one. 11/19. Lava Reds, are droping on lots all around us down here. Even their sister stores. I went to them cause they were a big chain (Autoway) down here. Stores everywhere on FL. Prioritized my order I was told. Just before taking delivery on my 2012 Kona, from a different SMALL dealership, they STILL claimed they had not gotten a VIN. Personally, I think they wanted it for themselves (to showcase), and to sell at MSRP, versus knowing I was X-Plan. Someone will get a nice Glass Roof Lava, anyway. Probably not soon though. Meanwhile, I am driving, and starting modding my Kona. Tri-Axe is in, Steeda Springs enroute.

 

This is why I buy vehicles that are in inventory. I'm way to impatient to order a car and wait.

 

I ordered a nicely spec'd out Sterling Grey 5.0...after getting the run around for a while from the dealership, I bought my Kona Blue from another dealership, spec'd almost identically.

I don't regret it. Whenever I see a Sterling Grey 5.0, I wonder if it's the one I ordered.

 

I'm still happy to hear you went out and got your new rides! I know this wait has been insane for lots of us lol!
