I still do lol! How do you think I leaned about the V07? I'll be rereading your detailing 101 this week because Candi's going to need a good detailing when I bring her home Friday.

I'm really going to be watching out for my Kona on boards later. It'll be cool if the new owner tracks down its history.
I see you named your baby too. I like the new name. Sounds feisty. So Friday eh? I bet you're stoked. How many miles were on her?

Rubbish! I started my mods 60 miles in (GT500 AB's), then 160 miles in (MGW). I wish I started it SOONER provided, the mods are tasteful and within warranty.

HAHAHAHA.... that is hilarious man. That's a good point. It does sound like a "screen" name But well done. My wife shakes her head when I refer to my cars by their female names. She calls them the "other" women

But yes, you are correct. I had BOTH the GT500 axlebacks and the MGW before the car, but I waited to put it on just to "feel" what it was like "stock". After 60 miles, I said, ok, I have heard enough...where are the Shelbies?

Mod away man. Mod away.

Didn't you get mgws too? So are you planning on removing them from your roush prior to trade in?

Haven't got an MGW yet, maybe for this one. I'm putting the stock 18" wheels back on for trade.

John... I am trying to find where to get 19" SVT rims, just like yours from your previous pages. I can't find them. I thought I remembered they were only 18's. You sure yours are 19s? And they're OEM? Where to get???

Yeah mine are 19x9.5 forged OEM SVT's off the 10-12 GT500s. Only the 18" came on the 10-12 convertible GT500 and aren't forged. I bought mine as used take offs from a guy on S197FORUM. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you, every now and then a set shows up for sale.

Oh and btw....I've decided to keep my car afterall. I just couldn't do it yesterday. The track pack didn't feel right with the clutch and the red...well its just not kona...I'll leave it at that.

Wow.... Yes my bad man. Whoa, so what happened? I am sorry I missed the 2nd paragraph...lol. So you decided against it??? I thought it was a sure thing for sure. I thought you signed up all the paperwork already, etc. wow. But yeah, with car buying, if it didn't feel right, can't force it. In the end, just ain't kona? . I wonder what the dealer said after you changed your mind... Lol

As for the rims, I didn't know that. But still, I would think, I could still buy the Oem 19s from ford or another vendor right? I still can't seem to find em

Lol no worries. It was an interesting day Friday. We went to go do the final once over and drive. If everything was good we were planning to go home and demod mine and come back Saturday morning. I got there and my salesman wasn't even there. The car wasn't even clean. It's a demo so the owners been driving it and it was a mess... My fault for looking at it in the dark earlier in the week. We go to drive it and it has 4 miles till empty. The first test drive a week ago was a short one so I never really got to open it up. During my final drive the clutch was inconsistent. It would be super stiff or feel like it was sticking and not engaging all the way. I wasn't comfortable what so ever and brought it back. They tried feeding me some bs that it had a special clutch because it's a track pack lol. I know what a bum clutch feels like and that one was about done for. I'm really happy it was 100+ degrees out all week or I would have demodded my car. It was a sign bro... I think I was blinded by Recaros and track apps lol. We spent the afternoon cleaning our new Edge yesterday and every time I glanced over at my car reminded me how dumb I was to try and trade her in.

You can probably find the wheels new from Tousley Ford, but they'll be pricey. I'll keep an eye out for you, I searched for a while for mine. I almost bought the black replicas from AM until these popped up.

Good to hear! I love the koni's for sure. Paired with the k springs it handles awesome but can be rough at times. I should have the BMR's sometime next week and hopefully on next weekend. I'll let you know how they are.

John, sorry I haven't been able to respond to this post yet. Overall, I just wanted to say, GOOD MOVE! I'm Sooooo glad you kept your Roush Kona. Yours is a rare breed, and the way you keep it in such good shape, even more so rare.

Personally, if I had a choice to get a 13 or a 12 right now, I would still get a 12... dunno...just me I guess. If 100% had to be divided into "reasons why I'd get a 12 over a 13", it would be:

Kona = 85%
Hood (power bulge) = 5%
Lower panels in matte black trim = 5%
Front grille (non hacked up Shelby look) = 5%

Again, just me.

Either way, I think it was a blessing in disguise man. Don't buy a car if it doesn't "feel" right

Welcome back to the Kona family... and KONA FTW!!!!

p.s. What is your Roush's name now that Candi and Ruby are not going to be used for that 13?

Here's some updated pics of Sexy from this morning. Just swapped out the K springs for BMR's last night. Rides so smooth now and is a quarter inch lower than before with the K springs.
