Am I really the only one?

I kind of want a slightly retro look for my Mustang. I know that the old Bullit rims are WAY overused, and for years were found on every other Mustang on the road, but I do like their classic look.

Anyways, I just ordered a set of these:

What struck me as odd is I began looking for a 2010-2012 Kona Mustang with the same rims. Looked at the ones I saw on the road, looked for pictures for one on the internet.

After 2 days of looking I have yet to find a single one, which leads me to ask, am I the only one who is apparently so "uncool" as to put these old, overused rims on their Kona?

If you are, then so what. It's your car and money so do what makes YOU happy.

Nope. I believe Roadrunner has that same color and rim. It looks good. I love those rims. They are my favorite rim. If there was a staggered set that fit in my car, I'd probably rock them. Like others have said, enjoy your car and put on what makes you happy.

Nope, I am uncool too

I don't have Kona Blue, I have Deep Impact Blue, but I have very similar rims on my car and I love the way it looks. In my experience, I nearly never see mustangs around here.. and even less mustangs with bullitt rims, so my car is unique around here. Even if it wasn't, I don't care, I paid for the **** car so its gonna look the way I want.

Nice to finally see a pic of them on a new body style Stang.

Personally I love them. If it ends up making my car somewhat unique then that's fine with me.

Feel I'm dating myself a bit with my car though. Old school rims, no stripes, mostly debadged (soon only the faux gas cap will have an emblem on it), rear lowered 1" but not the front (It sits flat now), it's missing all of the "bling". I wanted a classic "sleeper" look, with just enough visible mods so Mustang owners/fans know it's not stock, but you can't tell what exactly has been done.

Why did you order factory 17x8 Bullitts, when you could have gotten bigger 17x9/17x10.5 or 18x9/18x10 versions? What year is your car? V6 or GT?

Who said they're factory 17X8s?

I got 18X9s and I am having 265/40r18 Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position tires put on them. (As far as I can tell that will be quite unique as well.) They're going on a daily driven 2012 V6.

The picture you posted haha. But that sounds nice. Can't wait to see them. It's going to look good. You should get the OEM tribar center caps though!

You don't like the black tribar?

Actually, I'm half tempted to get these center caps...

The wheels you posted are FRPP Bullitts. They come with the tribar center caps. The 18x9 wheels you ordered are replicas and will most likely have a ZR or snake logo. Where'd you order from?

Yeah I know, I was just yanking his chain.

I ordered from American Muscle, so if I want the black tribar I can get them. Not a problem. I just haven't decided what center caps I want. I have very much considered repainting the stock silver caps black and keeping the blue Ford logo in the middle. This, in a black...

That would give Mustang fans something to wonder about.

Strut tower bracket, beefier shocks and struts added. Here is a before and after with those and 55D rear springs. Still waiting on the tires to come in. Hopefully they will arrive tomorrow.

HUGE difference on handling vs the stock setup. The front springs are still a bit much, but the car is so much more poised and controlled than it was before. This thing is going to be amazing with the new rubber. Changed my mind on that and went with the Conti Extremes in 275X40r18. Wish they would hurry up and get here.
