Grabber Blue, hard to photo

Has anyone else noticed that when you photograph our cars, they look light blue, and not like you see them with the naked eye. I'm getting tired of people on facebook telling me I have a baby blue car. Any tricks on getting it to look the true color on camera??

Yeah, it looks a lot deeper in person. When you photograph it it's very one dimensional the shine makes it look lighter than it actually is. This is the best I was able to do but it's still not that accurate...

Try playing with the hue and saturation. That happens with my car(not baby blue, but the blue is toned down alot from the camera). To make it look the same, I up the saturation of the blue.
Just a suggestion.

It is hard to photograph this color. I took this picture at 6:45 in the morning before the sun came over the horizon, and it still doesn't really show the true color.

As the sun is coming up in the clouds in the mountains is the closest I have gotten, turned the flash on and stood back

Polarized Filter, still off

Professional Photographer, still off

In fact on Killboys web site they called it Baby Blue

I took some photos of the GB '10 GT I placed an order for a while back, thread is on here, but my hosting site is down right now, so no links. But it takes some trickery to get it to come out right. From the camera, try different light settings. Even if you use auto, try something different. A lot of the presets on cameras add filters to the images, so play around with it and see what works for you. If you have access to Photoshop, you can do the fake HDR thing and adjust the shadows/highights, and bring out some of that medium color depth that doesn't translate well in untouched photos.

That looks really good. Much closer to what it really looks like.

Autoblog just reviewed a Grabber Blue GT coupe and a convertible, and I think they did a pretty good job of accurately capturing the color in their photo galleries, especially the one for the convertible...

I find it's easier to get a more accurate color look by taking pics of the car in the shade.

I originally was looking for Kona Blue, saw the Grabber and forgot about the Kona.
Here is mine with my Buddies Kona in Florida, and still hard to get correct color
