With Kona Blue; you're buying three colors.

Awesome dark blue, black, and purple.

I've actually found it photographs great when in the right light. Here's some I've taken:

Yes, I'm their main photographer, although I took that second photo for SMS.

B) EXCELLENT WORK my man, I always enjoy your photos on autoblog. It's one of the main things that attracted me to their website

That paint color is bright. Light meters like the whole scene to resemble a middle Grey. To make that color resemble middle Grey, the light meter is under exposing. All that one needs to do to fix that is to add exposure. Try opening up one stop to what the light meter suggests. See if that doesn't brighten things up.

Dude! That's awesome. What kind of tips do you have to attempt to capture the best Grabber color possible?

I have a Nikon D40 and I find if you play with the balance on the camera you can find a happy medium. What do you guys think?

You need a camera that you can play with the settings. A point and click just does not have the adjustability of nice DSLR camera. Some do...but those are far and few between

You can find some really nice deals on ebay, craigslist, etc might check it out.

With the Nikon D7000 out the D90 took a nice price drop. I'm pretty happy with my D90. A buddy of mine just got a Canon T2i and it's pretty darn nice. But for a couple hundred bucks the Nikon Coolpix L110 is a pretty decent camera that can give you ok manual control.

I still think you could to a plus 1/2 ev on the car to brighten it up some more. The background just looks dim and even the white stripe has grey in it. Just my 2 cents.
