Good to know. I've only ever leased cars before, so the negotiating power is pretty limited there.

I've only been to one dealership, really liked them, my salesman owns and races his boss. It was great to talk to a salesman who actually knew what he was selling... Felt like I was getting bent over on my trade in (I don't think I am now), and found out that my new co-worker's sister is the controller for a dealership a little further away. Got a decent price form just the internet sales guy, but my coworker knows I'm only going there if I get a great price, so we'll see what it will be in the next few days.

I agree that having a sales guy who really loves cars and know about hem (in your case a guy racing the Boss) helps enormously. I would rather pay a bit more to the guys who offer excellent service and have a real interest in mustangs (or any car for that matter). When I brim my ca in for service down the road I want to have faith in the dealership and have them interested in me and my car. Hope you find a good deal from a good sales person!!

Question. I received a brochure with the $750 coupon, but states at the bottom "must take delivery from dealer stock" I ordered a 2014 Mustang three weeks ago. Is the coupon still able to be used on a car that is ordered?

According to my salesman, you can order or buy from the lot. Also, you get the benefit of the incentives that are active at the time of the order or at the time of delivery whichever is better and you are also price protected against any MSRP change.

I do not know if that is the official Ford policy or that of the local dealership, but it is a great way to do business.

Same story here - the Ford incentives went from $1500 at time of order to $2000 at time of delivery, so I got the $2000. For the $750, I got the coupon while my car was on order, and the dealership had no issue honoring it when I picked up the car. Not sure how that works if it has an expiration date prior to your car delivery, but they seem pretty good about honoring rebates

We have car events through my club. Late Model Mustang Club of Connecticut. I go to Lebanon Valley when I can. I hang out on the Berlin TPKE most Saturday nights.
