First pics of the new GT track pack
Shamelessly posting pictures of the new car. Many more to come, these were just the initial ones with the iPhone. In the 7 miles I drove from the dealership home, I love it!!
Recaro's are PHENOMENAL. Can't wait to use them more (and really use them at Watkins Glen in a couple weeks)

I think I captured the Grabber Blue color pretty well in the top photo too... often pictures seem like the contrast is too low and brightness is too high... I think I got it about right in that one though. Looks awesome

I had the same thought initially... But I have never had a "flashy" car and have always liked a nice blue color on a car. This cor definitely only would look good on certain cars, in my opinion the new mustang is one it looks great on.

Another thread to live vicariously through while waiting for my car. That's one purrrrty GT.
As far as opinions on grabber blue, I fell in lust with the color when we rented a Mustang a few years back on vacation and seeing a Boss 302R up close in GB at Mid-Ohio clinched it for me.

I actually had a GB Mustang GT as a rental back in January. My wife especially loved the color and told me I should sell my S4 and get a mustang. Obviously for once I listened to her . But that was also how I started liking the GB color. Helped that Avis gave me the 5.0 in a rental too... That car saw redline MANY times while I had it as a rental
She hates my Genesis Coupe, and I guess since the grass is always greener, I somehow got her blessing on picking up a 5.0. She hates GB, and the dealer and a few other people think I'll get tired of having such a flashy color.
Think the Sterling Gray looks pretty cool. I feel like mustangs blend in a bit (I probably see 15-20 mustangs for each Genesis Coupe I see), but maybe thats better. A fast 5.0 still stands out to me and other gearheads. I found myself eyeing one that was behind me at the car wash, and another 5.0 I was stuck behind on the turnpike.

I test drove a couple genesis coupes. They are a good package but I didn't like the clutch/shifter/throttle feel & interaction. Otherwise tho quite a nice car and for a good price. Mustang is better tho in my opinion.
The deep impact blue looks great too if you want/need to stay away from the brightness of the grabber blue. Going to get the recaros?

I do like my 6puck clutch and lightweight flywheel with ss lines, short shifter, and different pedals. Driving anything with a stock clutch feels weird to me right now. I won't be missing the ride quality of the genesis track suspension though. I think thats the one thing the Mrs hates the most. The Mustang just felt effortless in doing everything that it did.
Recaros are a must. An internet sales guy just sent me a window sticker and a quote for a Sterling Gray w/ track pack, recaro, manual, with Sync. Gotta talk him down a little more, came in a few hundred over what X-Plan pricing was on his first offer to me.
I guess I'll either sign up for X-Plan, or tell them to get me a lower price. I'm going to this dealer to get better deal (co-worker's sister is high up at the dealer), so I'm hoping to get it for around invoice - rebates + tax, title, etc. Going to be eating probably like 2k on the Genesis on a trade in, so the better deal I can get, the more money for a few mods =)

Haha hope it comes in! You can request one for a couple people at your addresses coupon is good for a household. I got one for a financing deal but I requested one for my brother and my wife too and my bro's came with the $750 which I used. I recommend requesting a couple!!

All coupons, x plans are great negotiating tool. But what wins is how good you can negotiate with the dealership. Usually I have seen members here get $6000 off the msrp just by negotiations. So word of advice, be very prepared and be ready to walk out if you don't like the deal. For sure you will get the best if you are patient enough. Good luck.
