Final evening With My GB GT

Her new owner will get her tomorrow, if all goes well. Only 7053 miles on her right now, owned her since June 27, 2011 and 4.5 miles. As I cleaned out the console & glove compt, I was tempted to rethink this. I noticed I hardly used any of the sun visor accessories. Decided to leave my seat belt extender in the console - new owner might need it. Hmm...Decided to just leave the Craig license plate bracket in the trunk (I won't need it any more).

Will this new guy appreciate the awesomeness of this car? Will the GT500-mufflered exhaust be the music to his ears that it is to mine? I'll miss that start-up snarl.... Feeling a little melancholy.

Boosted my morale a little by thinking about my next, "someday" Mustang: a 2013 or 2014 with Brembo pkg, automatic (sorry, medically necessary guys), and Recaros. I love these cars, and feel very blessed to have owned not one but two of these machines ('11 vert 6MT GT, '12 coupe 6AT GT). But I must provide for my family for now.

Sorry for the rambling. Enjoy your rides, ladies and gentlemen. Great cars always!

Hate to hear but you're doing the right thing. You'll be rewarded for that. You're a good dude and always represent yourself well. I remember all of your posts about the process going from the 11' to the 12'. I participated in a few from what I remember. Good luck and stay active on the boards.

That is really depressing to read, even makes me sad to think about what it would be like to have to do that. But, you know what you have to do, and I trust that you know what the right decision is after weighing all options.

I'll be hoping that you have another in the very near future and can enjoy it more that you have the last two. Also hope you'll still hang around here, say hello, and join in a discussion or two. Even off topic if you don't have anything Mustang related to say, we still have a good time there.

Just make sure you stick around man. And you're making the right choice. As much as we love our mustangs they are only cars at the end of the day. You'll be back in a stang before you know it

Eric... My utmost respect to you for your contributions to this board and how you carry yourself. I resonate with the decision you just made, because we are about to do the same sort of thing... My wife is deciding to stay home after working for 10 years, to be with our children. so I totally understand.... Life is hard, but family always comes first. Congrats and best of luck.

It's just a car. The best car on earth. But still only a car.

Family first! Good luck and you'll get a better one soon with an attitude like this.

I had to part with my 94' gt for family reasons as well. Wish you the best of luck and like previous posts don't let the spirit die! Just pick up another one somewhere down the road

To be honest, there's about half of my family that I'd trade for a car any day of the week.

My in-laws I'd trade for a II.

And throw in cash.

Sad for you but good for you for making a tough choice. I sold my F150 FX4 to buy my house when I got married. As much as I loved that truck, it was a no-brainer.

If you're looking for an inexpensive Mustang to hold you over for a while; we're selling our unmolested 1988 GT. See the link in my signature.

Best of luck.

LOL, you mean my life was <this> close to being Complete?!? Ha-ha, that means a lot to me, coming from you!

THANKS to ALL of you for the great sentiments. I don't expect everyone to understand. Shoot, I can't fully explain it myself really...

It's just a car, not a wife.
