Streaks with almost every product or wash
Just read through this entire post and can't believe that no one has mentioned this. I'm about to drop the bomb. READY?!?! OPTIMUM NO RINSE WASH. Youtube it. This stuff is worth its weight in gold. I add a capful of it to my carwash soap solution and it makes an AMAZING quick detailer. Very versatile and highly recommended by many professional detailers.
Autogeek has a 2-bucket rinse washer and a grit guard that I would HIGHLY recommend. Even if you don't get the 2 buckets, at least get a 5 gal. bucket with the grit guard. Also, don't buy the Costco micro fiber towels as they will definitely scratch your paint. Bite the bullet and invest in some quality micro fiber towels.
CANNOT agree more with you. Forget buying your products at Autozone or Advance. Head on over to www.autogeek.net for a real arsenal. I've never used Blackfire wet diamond but I hear some amazing reviews on it.
The best chamois' to use are the synthetic (not leather) ones that car dealership detailers use. You can't buy them in the store and the only thing closest to this is The Absorber. Next time you're at the dealership (or any dealership for that matter), swing by the parts department and pick one up. You can thank me later.
Always use sheepskin mits as well. One for the paint only and one for just you wheels. Never use the MIT that washes your wheels on the body. Use two buckets to wash, one for soap and one with just water to the rinse the mit after you wash a section.
This will reduce the amount of surface scratching and swirl marks. Wash it in the shade. Use quality soap, polish, wax, and blackbox. Oh yeah, and detail the trim first with armor all. The polish won't stick as much if you accidently get it on the moist rubber/plastic trim.

Its black, so you're gonna have to Invest in some non over the counter waxes and shampoos. You will see the difference immediately. I use Blackfire wet Diamond as a last step product and it shines amazing an no streaking. Also it goes on and comes off super easy, even if it sits on for a while.
Also get yourself a good shampoo and quality microfibers

When i wax or use Ultimate quik detailer on my cars i always use a micro fiber cloth, never a rag or paper towels of any sort, they will streak. Any micro fiber cloth like this below will work. Also if i find any streaks i use the quik detailer with the cloth and go over any areas and its spotless tbh, i have a black car as well.

Some lines are meant to be used together. Certain ststems to use and stuff
With my black convertible and the bullitt, Ialways used Mr. Clean autodry. I waxed with NXT 2.0. Trick with Nxt is to go sparingly and do small sections and not let it dry. If I did get a haze, I touched it up with the NXT spray wax. I waxed about three times a summer, and just washed weekly in between. used a duster every morning, and detailer after work to clean off the bugs. I miss the Mr Clean products. I am on my last bottle of soap and the last filter. The Ebay prices are way to out of hand now. I was lucky in that I avoided parking outside, driving on rainy days and never using the car in the winter. Both cars were swirl, scratch free at trade time, and I always got complements on the shine.
