Sterling Stripes

Anyone have pics of a black stang with sterling stripes? The only ones I could find are of this amazing supercharged shelby.

Check the Thunder Road 8/14 thread in the 2010-2014 main section...

I just realized that. They look a little darker than silver, but a little lighter than SGM. Either way, should give you a good idea to start right? I'd say, go for it haha. SGM on black looks

SGM for sure. Matte black looks good too, but not enough contrast. And makes waxing a chore, since you can't wax the matte stripes..

Hmm... That's a good point, didn't think of that.
However the look I like (the shelby) looks like they're matte, eh?

You can get gloss or matte black on the GT500, depending on the base color. If it has SGM stripes, they're glossy only.

I like the matte look better. Curious how a matte sgm stripe would look like with a wide center stripe and smaller ones on the outside.

Totally BA lol. I definitely like the matte stripe look, it's just upkeep that sucks.

I wish i could see both in real life! argh

Laser, I'm thinking that shelby may have aftermarket stripes? They don't look very glossy to me. You think they are glossy though?

Yeah that's a supercharged GT. I know the grille delete and Cobra Jet emblem are throwing you off. They are aftermarket vinyl stripes, yes. And they do kinda look semi gloss, but those pics are also under a overcast sky so it's hard to tell...

Just clicked your link. Sorry I missed that! Yeah, those look matte. They do look good too, I'd just hate detailing a car with matte stripes...

Well painters tape should make it a lot easier.
If you go with the double stripes though, the part in the middle of the roof would be a real pain!
