Had some custom paint done to the Pony. All accents are Fords NQ Yellow Blaze. Last of the paint job will be the front calipers (Yellow Blaze) and the rear louvers (UA Black).

 

Looks awesome!! I love you did the dot in the 5.0!! Nice work. Just wondering, why'd you do the louvers in black? Can't wait to see more.

 

Thanks! The side louvers or when I get the rears done? My thought on the accents was not to be overpowering. Subtle was what I was going for. The stripes on the hood and the spoiler were as loud as I wanted to go with the Yellow. I will get the front calipers painted and the rear louvers will be done in the black, stock paint. I may add some yellow accents into that.

That makes perfect sense. I wanted to change my dot to black. I'll do stuff in a diff color, it will for sure be changed now!!

Can you post a pic of your hood from straight on? Are just the hood spears painted or the entire power dome part? Thanks!!

 

Just the spears. If you look around, most of the graphic tape that is out there it is just for the spear, but the difference is that the graphics only come down on the side of the dome. Where as the paint actually comes up the other side to finish the look (the grove part of the spear). Sets it apart from the graphic tape design IMO. The picture is in my gallery for a close up of it. I can send you some of what it looked like at the paint shop later this evening.

 

Kinda thought it was just this painted. Looks great! That pic worked just fine. I see yours is different. Yours is way better!! I am going to add sone accents to mine? Still not sure where. This was added to the list of ideas.

Thanks! Just don't get in any rush to see mine. Still haven't came up with a for sure scheme. Just 99.7% sure I'll do your spears part. If OK? In some shade of Ford blue. Took me 7 years to come up with idea for my 95. Won't be long with this car.

Really like the car, especially the 5.0 badge. I want to get a black one too for my black gt, the one I looked at has the red dot though. My only concern was that you wouldn't be able to see it, unless your close up. Is that the case for you, or does it stand out even against the black? How do you like it?

 

Yep that would be the case, you can see the dot, but you have to get up on the badge to see that it is a 5.0...
