Question regarding UA paint code

Not sure if my car is a one off or if this is normal for UA paint code.

My car has a gold metal flake in the paint and I thought it was normal until I had some paint work done on my front and rear bumper covers. When I got them back the paint work was just straight black, no metal flake at all. Does the paint shop know what they were doing or should my car be straight black.

I tried to look at others during Mustang Alley, but just a couple UA cars showed up during the plant tour and they were a little dirty. Car has to be clean to see it good.

The picture doesn't do it justice, it looks like dust here but it is really gold metal flake. It really pops when it is in the sun. My have to get a video of it and see if shows better.

that may very well be rail dust from when your car was transported from the factory. no, not normal.

I don't know if you have had it professionally detailed yet, but I would consider it.

I just had it detailed, it was clay bared and polished. It is in the paint. I love how it looks in the sun, but it will be a pain if I ever need to get it painted.

I think mine was built/painted when the Tsunami hit Asia. Ford along with other Auto makers had a hard time getting black pigment for the paint. I have a feeling mine was painted with something different to get it down the line.

UA is the code for straight black. I would agree that the flakes you see are contaminants.
