I have a question about halogen headlight assemblies for owners of 2011+ black Mustang GTs. I figured that I'd start a poll to help answer the question.

Is the chrome surround bezel on your lights bright, shiny chrome or darker, black chrome?

I am downgrading my HIDs to halogens and I got a set with darker chrome, but I like the shiny chrome versions too... I have a chance to get a set of the shiny chrome assemblies, but I am a little confused.

I'd like to have my black 2011 GT with model correct lights, so I wonder if some GTs have shiny chrome? I know the Laguna Seca does... I live in Japan, so I don't have many Mustangs to compare with...

I'm so curious why some black GTs have dark chrome and others don't.
Is it a trim level, I wonder?

I'm really curious about which cars have black chrome housings and why.

I did buy that set of silver chrome housings though... Got a good deal!
Now I just need to decide which ones to install!!! My black chrome housings are still at my parents home in America, so I can't do a side by side comparison yet. I like how both look, but I'd really be interested in finding out which are more appropriate for my 2011 GT premium.

 

you could send a pm to Overboost , and I think depending on the look your going for the dark/black housing would probably blending together more giving a stealthier look then the chrome but the chrome would look good too.
