Shaun, a couple of dumb questions on the car setup, if you don't mind...
Judging by the grill, I'm guessing this was a "standard" GT originally, and the CS lower valance was added. Does this improve aerodynamics or performance that much, or was it added mostly for the handy brake-ducts?
Same question for the rear diffuser- any performance gain at all?
Under the rules for this series, would you be able to add the Boss air splitter on the front, now that it's a "stock" part from Ford? Would that help any?
Thanks! Good Luck in the series, I'll be watching! I like the tow hooks, too!

It kind of looks as if the BMWs have us covered so far this year. I'm pretty surprised because the 5.0 seemed to be a formidable match for their V8 on the street. It appears we need 30-50 additional hp. Thoughts?

At the end of last year it was obvious that the new M3 was the dominate car to have in CTSCC and some of the changes GA made in the off season to try to help others (like the Mustang) have a more legit shot at a win (like the larger rear spoiler) have not been enough to really change anything. Some of the changes I would like to see to the Mustang to help make it more competitive aren’t actually power level, some things involve suspension and what we can change vs. what other kinds of car can change (or their range of allowed adjustability). To be dead honest I would NEVER want Grand Am’s job of having to balance Mustangs, Camaros, Porsche's, BMW's, Subaru's etc, its never gonna be perfect, but it sucks to be on the short end of the stick
It’s hard not to get down on yourself (or what your doing) when the 2009 Series champs can not qualify inside the top 5 (on a pretty good day!). Things will turn around.
One of the biggest issues we have had this year is getting hit!!!
We keep getting hit by out of control cars! At Daytona someone like 3-4 cars back lost their brakes and NAILED a BMW in front of them and sent him plowing into us rear to rear in the brake zone for turn 1 and we go "taken out" in Miami (car wasn’t out of the race, but it was out of the hunt for anything meaningful).
