Yeah that's the black mark on this deal given that Stewart won't be in a car. But I'm pretty happy to see Ford step up, regardless of who the drivers are it's nice to see the blue oval on another championship caliber team. The huge number of Chevy teams today is ponderous, and the Toyota powerhouse was a real threat to relegate the Ford teams to backmarker status without some sort of shakeup.
And who knows, if Stewart can put his Chevy fandom aside to make this deal maybe Brian France can put his Ford hatred to the side. Ok, maybe not.
