Now why would he be considered a traitor?? Just because he left Roush? To me that was the smartest thing he has done. Not trying to cause an argument or anything but, to me he wasnt able to really compete due to the fact that the car was holding him back. Once he left he started to finish better than he was with Roush. I have been cheering for him for over 10 years now.

Because when he left Roush his story was that he wants to drive part time and spend more time with family.
And after that he signed with Roush's biggest rival Hendrick to drive for a full season ...
If he thought that Roush was holding him back he should've left long time ago. But even with Hendrick he will always be second best ... Just like with Roush.

Teams are always changing what cars they are running. Look at Petty Racing. They are going with Ford now. Does that make them traitors to the cars that they were running?? No it dont. To me it dont matter what the driver drives to a point. Drivers change teams all the time too. They cannot do anything when they go to a team that is running a different car. Like Mark Martin do you think that he had any say on what type of car he was going to be driving?? I dont think he did. It is what he loves to do and a paycheck for him. If I was in the same situation that he was in when he changed teams I would have prolly done the same thing. Like I said before it is what he loves to do and it pays the bills. Did you know that he has a Ford dealership?

Did you know that he also has a Chevy dealership?
No, Mark didn't had any saying in which car Ginn/DEI will be running. But he did had a lot of saying for whom he will be driving. After all, Roush didn't fire him - Mark left on his own. It's not like he had no choice - he had plenty of choice. And he choose to drive a Chevy. He could've easily stay with Roush, continue driving that #6 Ford and be the leader of the team. Instead he choose to drive a Chevy and be #3 driver in the team (behind Gordon and Johnson and maybe even Earnhardt).

See the reasons why he actually left prolly he and Roush know. They could be good or they could be bad. I dont know. Like I said before I dont cheer for him because of what he drives. I cheer for him because of the kind of a driver he is. He is a really good driver that has had a lot fo bad luck in his career.
Also no I didnt know he had a Chevy dealership too. LOL you learn something new everyday.
Like I also said before I wasnt trying to get into an argument at all. If changing race teams makes you a traitor then fine he is a traitor. Will I keep cheering for him?? Yes I will. Because he is a good driver not what he runs on the track.

If you wanna continue cheering for him, sure, go ahead, I have no problem if people wants to cheer for driver and not the car.
Matt Kenseth is my favorite driver and one of the reasons is because he's driving a Ford. If he decides to drive something else tomorrow, I'll find another driver to cheer for.
I used to cheer for Martin when he was in that #6 Ford. But to me, Martin is now in the same group as Bowyer, Sorenson, Kahne, Vickers, Mears ... - basically, drivers that I don't care about and I don't pay any attention to.
