Final race for DeWalt on the #17

Final race for DeWalt on the #17: This weekend will mark the end of an era for Matt Kenseth and Roush Fenway Racing. After more than a decade serving as the primary sponsor for Matt Kenseth and the No. 17 team, DEWALT will run its last race aboard the No. 17 Ford Fusion this weekend at Homestead. One of the most successful partnerships in NASCAR history, the duo of Kenseth and DEWALT teamed for the 2000 Rookie of the Year Award, the 2003 Championship and the 2009 Daytona 500 win during their 10-plus year tenure together.(RFR)(11-18-2009)

Is this because of the Stanley buy or something else? Sorry if I'm in the dark on this.

I don't know exactly why they're leaving, I don't think they ever said that.

Crown Royal will sponsor Matt next season.

Yea, not happy about this at all. All my crap now AGAIN becomes absolete. I was pissed when Valvoline left the 6 car way back in favor of (gasp) Viagra, now we're going from awesome tools to booze. Oh what a world!

BTW, I heard it was strictly for monetary purposes. Dewalt as you can imagine has been hit hard due to the lack of new construction. They can't afford the sponsorship any longer.
