Pretty good night for Yates.

Kvapil finished 8th, Gilliland finished 20th.

Pretty good night for Roush too.

 

Kvapil was strong the whole night. Great run for those guys. Gilliland had a rough start but finished strong.

Roush would have had a chance to win if they could have kept Biffle's car together. (like usual for that car)

 

Yeah, Biffle have some seriously bad luck. Not just tonight, he's been having car trouble for the past 3 seasons.

But Ragan finished 5th and he's in the position for Chase now. And Kenseth finally drove a good race (he finished 6th).

 

 

Kvapil's only 111 points out of the Chase, and with 3 top 10s has to start looking good to a long-term sponsor at some point. Was very happy to hear he got serious mention by the talking heads this week, maybe Yates should do the LaFayette Ford thing every year with the 28.

 

I've always thought Biffle was one of the most talented drivers. You're right, he's had some rotten luck the past few years.

Were those the only 3 drivers testing or was there more times that Gilliland finished better than. All be it Jr. and the "shrub" are probably 2 of the fastest cars this year.

I sure hope Yates keeps this up, against all odds really. Imagine what they could do with Hendrick kind of money. I have been very happy with all their drivers and cars this year.

When did Dish sponsor Matt? I know they sponsor Biffle a lot in Sprint series and Edwards in the Nationwide series, but I don't remember them sponsoring Kenseth.
