Greg Biffle wins at Michigan

Jimmie may have caught him, but getting past him would have been difficult. The 16 was hooked up after the last caution.
Congrats to Ford on NASCAR victory 1000.
One of the highlights of the race weekend for me was the Grabber blue Shelby pace car in the Nationwide race Saturday. They really gave it a workout during the pace car rides Sunday morning.

This is impossible. How could Ford have possibly been in the winner's circle seeing how Nascar is intentionally fixing the races for Chevy?
Or... is it that racing is what it is?
/you know who you are.
//I'm kiddin' I'm kiddin'. just a lil' at yas.

Congrats to Biffle and Ford. A well deserved win for both. It is good to see the Ford race cars competitive. However, they do not yet have an advantage over the competition but are moving in the right direction. It looks like TRD has detuned the Toyota engines a little too much. As a result, there were no blown Toyota engines.
I wonder how the race would have turned out had Kurt Busch not spun and hit the wall. He looked pretty fast. Carl Edwards was fast in clean air and would fade on long runs. They just have to make a little more progress on Carls car and then he will win some more races.

That being said, I think the most impressive team this year is Kurt Busch, by leaps and bounds. Hes driving the wheels off the thing, its a small single car start up team with no sponsorship, but he is one of the best cars on the track week after week. Its pretty damned impressive in this day and age of mega car, mega money, corporate race teams. Its actually pretty refreshing and I'd like to see more of that in the sport.

If the race was supposed to go to the fastest car, they would just hand out the trophy after qualifying. You know that there's more to a race win than that.
The 48 team made a couple of questionable pit calls and it put them in a bad spot at the end. Gordon and Kahne got bit by bad luck and I thought the place was going to riot when Junior's car went south. His engine had that 7 piston sound while he was leading and you could tell that his day was going to be cut short.
With the amount of speed that they carry in to 1 at MIS, I'm surprised that there were not more tire failures. Good on Goodyear for getting it right.

I wonder who has been carrying that banner around to each race waiting for it to happen hahaha. I also like how Jack Roush is just like randomly standing in the back left apparently unaware the picture is even being taken... you'd think they would have said "Hey Jack, we need you for a really important picture" or something!

GM 1042 wins (Chevy/Pontiac/Olds/Buick)
Ford 715 wins (Ford/Lincoln/Mercury)
Dodge 466 wins (Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth)
I'm too lazy to look up Nationwide and Trucks.
