John Force's legacy as the greatest drag racer ever to strap into a hot rod was secure before he clinched his logic-defying 15th NHRA Funny Car championship Sunday.
"Hagan's a great kid and has his whole life ahead of him," Force said. "But my time is running out. Ford should have fired me. I sucked. But they stuck with me. This old man's legs ain't broke no more. My arms and legs are good again like I was 40. I'm still ugly, but I'm back."

What's cool to me is I was out of motorsports for many years until my 08 Bullitt and picked up watching NHRA again. All my previous drag racing memories were from late 60's/70's ABC Wild World of Sports. (And I love it when ESPN plays the old reels!)
At first I'm like "who's John Force?" LOL
So to follow this guy (and team) that last few years and see him crawl back up and fight his way to a Championship was pretty cool!
And with Bob Tasca's help, it was all TEAM FORD FTW!!
