I don't understand Jason's point of view at all. And just look at all the crap male drivers in NASCAR at the moment. Taking themselves, and others out, all over the place.

Jason is saying that he wouldn't sign her... just like he wouldn't sign of them. He would rather seat someone with experience and a positive record in the sport instead of taking the risk and the distractions.

It'll be fun to have her in there mixing it up, but I don't anticipate any wins. The experienced guys have a hard enough time with these POS cars, someone like her used to the flyweight Indy cars trying to drive basically these trucks will have their hands full.

I agree with Jason. On the track, skill and experience is more important than showboating. Maybe she'll sell more merchandise and get some pictorials in Maxim/FHM, but that's not going to win races.
Honestly, I somewhat resent her for being a girl first, and a driver second. Should always be a driver first, and everything else second...

Fixed that for me.
She's a cutie, no doubt, but she needs to not do all that fluffiness and get out there and win.
However, sponsors pay for the sport, so I understand it. As long as it's all done off season in a month's time, go for it. After that? Just win, baby.
/sorry, I mean 'woman'. 'baby' is demeaning.
//so are risque ads for GoDaddy, but whatever.

I guess some teams just don't care about performance, only how much money they can get out of driver.
Take Hendrick for an example. How dumb do you have to be to let Kyle Busch go to hire Dale Earnhardt Jr.? Junior is nowhere as good as Busch. But he's a lot more popular which brings sponsors and increases sales of merchandise.

It is ultimately a business and therefore always about the money. It's actually more like entertainment than a an actual 'sports' event. Sure they are in good shape and possess an acute skill, but so do professional wrestlers.

^true, that's what NASCAR is about anymore as well
she can drive better than anyone I know, sure, but not to the level of the top series that she's in...she's won one race...which she won by fuel mileage, she's on one of te best teams in the IRL, and still can't do much

Considering that 5th in the championship is 1st in the non-Penske/Ganassi class, I'd say she had a pretty decent season. It totally baffles me that she even out-scored Kanaan.

Guys, something has to give... The truck race on Friday night here in Phoenix I bet there were 100 people in the stands at least that is the way it looked to me, Nationwide race way way down and the cup race well lets say there were plenty of seats left...... Whatever NASCAR thinks it is or isnt doing they are not filling the seats...

In my opinion, it's really stupid for tracks like Atlanta, which is always halfway full0 gets 2 races each season and other tracks gets none. Milwaukee Mile is always sold out for Truck and Nationwide races - why can't we also get a Sprint race?
And I guess people are starting to get bored watching same old people winning.
