Dale Jarrett's last race

I know he's driving for Toyota now, but he did win '99 championship with Yates Ford so we should mention him here.

When #44-Dale Jarrett starts the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway March 16 it will be the 668th start in a successful 24-year career. It also will be the former Sprint Cup champion’s last points race as the North Carolina native hangs up his helmet this year. The 51-year-old Jarrett opted to return this year, but only to run the first five races of the season. His last race actually will be the All-Star event at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in May, but BMS will be the last place he races for points. As a former BMS winner – he captured the Goody’s 500 (Aug. 23, 1997) – Jarrett says it is fitting that the World’s Fastest Half-Mile, where he made his first start in 1986, will cap what has been a very successful career.

He's in the top two of my favorite FMC drivers . . . ever. Maybe one day he can re-associate himself with FMC.

He didn't win no stinkin' Sprint Cup, he won a Winston Cup.

He criticized Ford a lot when he left to drive for Toyota. He said that Ford is doing a horrible job with NASCAR.

Funny thing is, in 2006 with Yates' Ford he was 21st. Last year with Michael Waltrip's Toyota he was 41st.

Show me what it says on Jarrett's trophy, I assure you it does not say "Sprint" on it.
Calling his Championship a Sprint Cup is rewriting history.

Well, he done. Not with a bang but with a whimper. Somewhat Ironic that the cars from the team he bailed on did much better, even if they weren't exactly contending either.
