Carl Edwards Speaks out about Restrictor Plate Racing in Facebook
He told an idea on how Restrictor plate races can be made better.
Carl Edwards: you wanna know nascars real problem? they get railroaded by someone no matter what they do! here is my solution to restrictor plate racing; make the cars have less grip so that the drivers have to lift off of the throttle!!! done.(tires, less downforce, less banking)its easy to do, but guess what? then everyone will complain bc the cars will be all spread out...thats why nascar is stuck
But for me it sounds a bit risky
What do you think?

I would think he would at least be more informed on the subject than we are.
They've got to do something. I didn't even bother to watch this week, or last week. I've maybe watched 6 races all year. Maybe.
I'm one of the guys that used to be a fan, especially as a kid, and somewhere along the way they've just lost me.

Your not they only one they lost.......
I have to agree with Carl Edwards, make it a drivers race like it used to be. Lets see who is really good, not who has the most money. Giving them all the HP and taking away grip will do that. The best of the best will be able to balance that fine line between control and total destruction.

People like wrecks. And the bigger, the better. **** the drivers.
And because of all the safety stuff and the strategy that's been determined as 'winning', the only big wrecks are at the end. The bits before are boring.
Further, the concept due to the 'big one' of green-white-checker? That's the exact moment I quit watching. Might as well rig the race after lap one and just state your winner.
F1 lost me when it was obvious the team with the most money wins most times, and definitely after the first lap, the race is decided except for a breakage of the car... and the made the unforgivable (at the time) offense of going to the exclusive Speed channel.
Open wheel lost me when they went to goofy channels like F1.
So... to sum up: Racing sucks. Except if I'm the one racing. Then it's awesome.

racing has just gotten too advanced now, across the board. The cars with the most money are the ones that run the fastest
NASCAR needs to start going and getting new cars off the showroom Friday afternoon, put a roll cage and safety stuff in saturday, and give teams a few hours to tweak sunday morning...then race them...race starts in reverse order from last weeks' finish
