Pretty darn good looking. Nose leaves a little to be desired but better design than a Daytona Prototype.

 

I was hoping for a little more zoom-zoom. They're still a few seconds behind the Penske Porsches and the Acuras. I'm wondering how much of the difference is in tires. All of the front runners are on Michelins. BK is on Dunlops, which are a step up from the Kumhos and Yokos that they were running before, but not in the same league as Michelin.

On the bright side, the new car is as fast as the old one out of the box. Once they get it dialed in, it should be a significant improvement.

Bonilla crashed the car in morning warm up, and they were out of the race before it even started. They should be able to get the car back together in time for Laguna.

Sure does stink! I didn't know beforehand . . . flipped on the TV and wondered where the heck they were!

Didn't they have a similar crash before another race this year as well?

 

Not that I recall. They had a bad one at Lime Rock a couple years ago, when they were running the 3 rotor Courage, and missed a couple races. Man, I miss the sound of that car. I wish they could have made the 3 rotor competetive.
