Alabama 'interested' in US Grand Prix

An investor is looking at Mobile as a site to build a $350 million circuit. They originally wanted a Nascar race, but are now wanting an Indy or Formula One type race.
If they want an F1 race there, they better get Hermann Tilke to design it. He is now the standard in designing all the new circuits that they race on. This would be good news for me if my dream of ever moving to the gulf coast ever comes true.

I willing to bet that it is apart of the Alabama Motorsport Park that is being proposed down there. I posted about it yesterday.. going to be an oval track, road course, drag strip, huge rv park and other things.

Oh and Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the major investor backing this I believe.

Scotthew,
Dale Jr. and the entire Earndhart family are backing a development on the Bama coast.
This was actually posted on Nascar .com a couple of days ago.
Is the F1 track a part of this?
The Dale Jr. development was supposed to have a short track, drag strip, road course, etc.

Here's the link to the Track the Earnhardts are involved with.

It says a 3.5mi roadcourse, which F1 does run on roadcourses so I cant see two major roadcourses getting built in the same area (not that I would complain)

The reason I am thinking it is the same story, just from two sides is the mentioning of Nascar on teh F1 site F1-Cobra posted.
Read the bold part.

An investor into a new motor racing circuit in Alabama says the project is 'interested' in becoming home to a second United States Grand Prix.
The consortium recently announced plans for an oval speedway and road course, probably to be situated in the coastal city of Mobile and built at a cost of $350m.
Staging a NASCAR race was the original target, but one of the investors was quoted as saying by The Press-Register: "We're interested in Indy or Formula One type races. We didn't want to just limit it to NASCAR. We thought if we had a road course, we could open it up for different types of events."
