I have the race for another hour before they switch to NASCAR qualifying. That'll be my errand running time I didn't get up early to watch the start but I think I will get up early to watch the finish, hoping it's Corvette Racing's year

I can't believe that they're going to switch from LeMans coverage to freakin practice session for NASCAR. Why? does anyone actually watch practice? They might as well call it the NASCAR channel.

All that was set in place prior to testing. I wouldn't say they "hamstrung" the Deltawing. And it is suppose to be more of a trial run, but if they perform well . . . all the better. The new Toyota's have a 73L fuel capacity vs. 40L for The Wing. I'm not sure what the fuel capacity is for the LMP2 cars.
One can look at both sides of the coin and decide if The Wing makes the same amount of stops as some of the leaders that with the amount saved with the reduced capacity is on target, or if the capacity was 80L and only make 1/2 the stops.
Perhaps next year we might see an Ecoboost powered LMP2 car on the grid. With Robertson Racing not on the grid there are no Blue Ovals in this years event.

Gasoline fuel capacity is limited to 75L (73L with ERS). Fuel stops wouldn't be quite half as often but would highlight the efficiency advantage very well.
Really miss seeing Robertson Racing out there too.

wow oh wow what a crash. That tire wall took a punishing. Same thing that happened to Rocky last year. But if you think about it, last year, McNish's crash and Rocky's crash were both caused by Ferrari's, and same thing this year.
