Worthy upgrades
Well ask me yesterday morning what I thought about mustangs and I would say wouldn't own one. Went to the dealership to help a co-worker out and ended up walking out with a rs2 2012. Now I have the fever. I only have 30miles on it now but are they any suggestion on performance upgrades that won't mess with the warranty? A few friends where telling me that the 5.0 is not performing at it's full potential do to EPA and other regulations and I would need to get my ecu remapped? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks man. Ya it really caught my eye on the show room floor. The funny thing was the sells person desk was next to it and was writing the order for a truck and asked him to change it to the rs2. He was lost for words. They had just got the car and still needs to get the roush exhaust installed (was in a box in the trunk). Been a truck man all my life and this is my first car so I'm really glad I made this choice.

LOL! Great story and yea .... the ROUSH Mustang is a fun car. The RS2 -Stage 2 - comes with nice suspension upgrade so tuning the motor would probably be the next 'worthy' upgrade.
Like you've heard the new 5.0L has some serious potential but that comes with the cost of tuning and airflow upgrades. There are a few good (READ -reuptable) mail order tuners for the 5.0L.
However, before you look into doing that, I'd ask .... are you ever planning on supercharging or turbocharging the car?
Because my advice is to answer that question first. It will save you some money and time spent.
Congrats on the new ride!!!

I'm not for sure. I been reading these forums and seems to be mixed feelings on the matter. With this being my daily ride and gas prices going up I was thinking single turbo but really not sure. I'm more of the off the line type drive vice high end speed. What do you think?

The stock 5.0 is plenty fast on it's own. Maybe you should drive and enjoy it first and see how you like it 'as is' ? You could go with a CAI and tune, but if you really want a ton more power, I think installing a Roush blower would give you that and still have a warranty. Just my 2c.

A lot of things to consider, warranty, drive characteristics (off the line; high RPM pull) etc..
I'd recommend the ROUSH blower too for all the above, but drive and enjoy it NA for a bit.
However, if you're itching to mod then find a CAI that will work with your force induction choice. So, as you look for a CAI make sure it will work your supercharger or turbcharger set up.
