Coming from Al O himself. Very impressed that GM is willing to support the car like this. It's always the one thing that has bothered me about GT500 ownership. You got this high powered car that you can't really use properly unless your on the track but then it voids the warranty. Hopefully Ford does the same with the 2013 GT500.

Well let's wait till there is a warranty claim and see how it's handled by GM.
As for Ford...I doubt it will be. The Boss isn't covered and it's more of a track car than the GT500.

Lol that statement was challenge on C5, and FbodyFather or whoever that GM guy is came in blazing like it was a challenge to all things right in the universe.
The interesting thing is that the poster sa him to qualify Al's statement, since he works for GM and all.....
HE WOULD NOT. Nor would he say it would be in writing which is what began the argument. I have to say the same. Without it in writing, what are you going to do ? Bring AL in on your android/ipad with the youtube video to your dealer and say "See ! its covered !"

What difference does it make?
If you're GT500 or Boss breaks down or has an issue while on the track, would you be foolish enough to actually TELL the dealership that you were on the track when the problem occurred??
If you can't drive the car off the track, you get a trailer or a tow truck and tow it off the track.
Then load it up on the trailer or get a second tow truck to take it to the dealer and tell them the car broke down while driving.
Good luck to them proving otherwise.

Exactly.
I'm always a bit surprised how much people on these forums tell about their cars, where they've been and what they'd done to them.
Then take pics of their cars at drag strips, road courses, and so forth and post these pics on these forums many times with license plates exposed and pics of their homes, where they live and so forth.
15 years ago, so many people were concerned about privacy, myself included, when the internet started to blossom. Now, so many people just literally give it away. Allowing just about everybody to know everything about them, via Facebook, Forums, Icloud, Google, etc.
Not me, I still value my privacy and am careful about what I say and share about me on anything or anywhere that will be stored in some companies data base. Location services on phones, GPS devices, etc.....turned off!

I'm with you bud, but that will never happen. They will go to a 5/100,000 mile powertrain before a 5/60,000 B2B warranty. Unless one of the other Big 3 offer it first, it won't be done.
