What's in a name...........& did anyone notice ?
My 2011 window sticker..................& a 2013 MY window sticker.
To my knowledge, 2007 thru 2012 MY GT500's had for a vehicle description " Shelby ". ....Window stickers for MY 2013/14 GT500's have for a vehicle description " Mustang ".
Don't know the reason for the change ?
Thoughts.

Just got my Window Sticker on the computer and it say "Shelby GT500" not "Mustang". But i have noticed from other people that some say "Shelby GT500" and some say "Mustang". go figure! Sort of like build dates and delivery dates, who the heck knows, its a crap shoot.

Everything I've looked @ 2013/14 MY says " Mustang ".

Not trying to "tell em" anything, but it is still a fact. I'm not prending to understand why Ford prints Mustang on some and GT500 on others, but in reality, they are ALL Mustangs.
Perhaps now that C. Shelby is no longer with us, it has something to do with the copyright on his name. Who knows.

As far as whether it's a Mustang or not, mine's a Shelby. That's what I call it, and it's good enough for me. I have noticed, however, that some GT owners take offense for some reason when GT500 owners refer to their cars as Shelbys and not Shelby Mustangs or just Mustangs. Not sure why this is, but it seems to be a case of unfounded butt-hurtness.
