I have none but I would assume the Mustang V6 would be a closer competitor which will out sell it and likely have less electrical and maintenance issues.

I was reading how Car and Driver came up with the list of cars for the 'Best Handling Car in the US under 100K" Their criteria for the cars they picked to compete were based on the class winners from their 10 best cars in US. Since the Spyder is a new 2011 model, I presume that it took the place of the Boxster S and or the Cayman S. They all use the same platform and the same engine, just De-tuned for Boxster S. I do admit I was surprise to see the GTI included and the absence of such cars as the GT500, EVO and the STI.
