Boy that launch by the Snake was *pitiful*... it's almost like they set it up that way. Not that I wanna see boiling tires at launch, that gets you nowhere, but still, looks like it bogged down.

The GT-R didn't launch much better.

The tires on the Super Snake are crap. Put some better rubber and it's a different story.

I totally agree!! Seems to be the same way with the stock GT500 too. In all the comparison tests, they say if it had better tires it would have been great!

The launch control issue on the GT-R isn't a problem anymore. I's been corrected so it's not quite as aggressive but produces similar results.

I wonder about MotorTrends testing as of late !! Watching the video from the launch the cars are side by side and then the lesser powered car pulls away ???!!!

Because the Super Snake is spinning it's tires. A GT-R is going to pull away from a lot of cars at the line. However, with a better set of tires that Super Snake would be all over it by the end of the 1/4 mile.

Those were 2 epically sad launches. My mom's little Escape 4cyl launches harder than that

Pitiful. But I've come to expect that from MT.Go figure. I'd still love to own a SS.
