Good question, though I'm assuming since that was on there it does provide brake cooling ducts.

Also, thanks for clearing up the warranty issue, Stinger. Glad to know, though honestly I think I'd have gotten them anyway. It won't be overbuilt for me as I do plan on spending many a weekend leaving my supercar tires spread all over race tracks.

A big thank you from here as well, glad to clear up the warranty stuff. I wanted to keep the fogs so its a win-win. I live about 160 miles from the closest track and hope to get out there at least once a year, busy lifestyle atm. Like kcoTiger, I will keep this until someone takes it away from me! So I really wanted to talk myself out of the TP and you all have failed me lol. I've posted this in another thread, here's the beast:

P8J - Coupe
821A - SVTPP
UJ/6X - Sterling Gray w/black stripes
55S - SVTTP
88Q - Recaro
918 - Shaker Pro (I know, don't say it)
971 - Car cover

MSRP 64,750, will let you know what I actually end up with

It is. And it has me seriously considering forgoing the Shaker Pro. Thanks for the day-before-placing-my-order headache.

I see it as an upgrade specially for southern states. It might not improve performance but it will not inhibit it either.

It actually dramatically improves performance on a race track. Supercharged engines create massive amounts of heat which robs HP.
This cooler pack keeps the car cool lap after lap so you don't have a dramatic fall off of HP as the package heats up

Which seems like a make or break thing for the GT500 since it has the reputation for heat soak and not so hot track performance as a whole. I really can't wait to read the reviews of this car.

Hi guys, first post.
Nice place you have here and I've been learning a lot. Thank you!

I am meeting with my dealer tomorrow to talk about my first mustang build. I currently have a 2010 taurus sho and this Shelby will be a weekend cruiser and occasional track car. And that's where this post becomes relevant to the thread.

I go to the track (road course) about once a year. What will happen to me at the track without the TP? I assume things will get real hot. Will the car start to lose power and performance or will I actually start to break things and void my warranty.

I am not super competitive on the track and don't mind the loss of a little performance. However, breaking things and voiding the warranty is a whole different ballgame that will make me pony up the money for the TP.

So for the occasional track day, can I get away without having the TP or is it a mandatory. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hey there and welcome. I wanted to answer because I got concerned about warranty issues as well. I got convinced to look into the warranty by another site. The track pack is fully covered by warranty and that was just bad info I got.

Also, I tried to talk myself out of the TP and keep 3k in my pocket. From what I have learned, it's probably well worth the 3k. The heat build up you get lap after lap is what steals your power, hence the coolers reduce that heat. Not to mention the TP probably just adds to the longevity of the drivetrain period.

Good luck with your research, I hope I dismissed your concerns about the warranty--my bad.

If you track the car, get the TP.
