So is my deal for a 2012 GT500 ok or not?

Not sure what the normal is on actual selling prices, but we are getting a new 2012 GT500 tomorrow morning.
It's white, no stripes
Options:
SVT PP
Elec/Nav
Recaros
Car Cover
MSRP is $57,910, we negotiated $49,999 with no trade and I had my financing already with my credit union. I'm guessing the 2013's coming in a few months is helping with negotiating so they can move them now before they sit?
Are we doing good or could it have been better?

The only thing I'll say is be careful when waiting. You'll save some more money, yes, but you may find out someone much like you decided to take the car at the price it's listed with now because they know the '12's aren't being made anymore and deals on them last only as long as there are '12's on the lot. If that's what you want, don't wait too long. That's a hell of a price for that machine.
Hey bud, that price sounds great, without me looking it up. Looks like they are giving all the $2,500 money away. If your happy, go for it. If you wait a few months, that car will most likely be gone. Other people are jumping on the 2012s that are left with the program that is going on.
And if you did wait, its not guaranteed that Ford will make the program any better to get rid of the leftover 12s. If your happy, the numbers are okay and you love the car, buy it and enjoy it. Its a great time to get these right now!!!

How did the deal go? That sounds good for a specialty vehicle and maybe you could have squeezed a few more dollars out but who knows with the 2013 around the corner you may have been able to get another 2-3K in a few months but either way , enjoy!
I live in Indiana which has a relatively low cost of living so the car dealers don't give very good discounts. I usually end up out of state to purchase and did so the last few times. Just purchased a new 2012 F250 Diesel 4X4 more or less fully loaded, sticker was $51xxx and paid $39,xxx at Souix Falls Ford in South Dakota (a great place to buy Trucks and Stangs) - but was willing to drive 10 hours to save $12K. I paid $27919 for my 2011 5.0, sticker was $33,515 (give or take) but they wouldn't budge any further and I think I called everyone east of the Rocky Mountains to get that price.
Not promoting a dealer but dang, every vehicle is 10-20% below sticker...about $1k of that discount is if you use Ford Financing. They got a 2012 5.0 Cali online with $5500 off sticker...same deal for just about anything. They order all there trucks with back-up heat (electric heat in dash) which is totally worth it if you have Diesel. And if you drive out there you can visit the Black Hills, Badlands, and see Mount Rushmore if you feel like driving a few more hours west (or east depending on your location)
