In the epic rev-off video below, is it just me, or is the person hitting the gas on the Shelby GT500 just a little light on the pedal?

Even given the menacing exhaust notes on the new 2015 Corvette Z06 and the 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, I still wouldn’t expect the 2014 Shelby’s 662-horsepower 5.8-liter V8 to get drowned out so bad by its fellow Americans.

As a matter of fact, I’m almost certain that whoever was hitting the gas in the Shelby was taking it easy in this rev off. I’ve heard a 2014 GT500 rumble before, and it sounds a whole lot more menacing than the one in this video posted by BadBowtieProductions. And considering the competition, this is no time to be shy.

Well, maybe we can find a few members here at The Mustang Source that’d be willing to send us their video links of some real revs from a Shelby GT500.

 

The Challenger sounds the best of the 3 in this video. That Shelby sounds real raspy.

 

This video just made me wounder how would Hellcat sound with some awesome aftermarket exhaust..... off to youtube I go!
