Shelby 50 years!
Since Shelby has been around from 1962 until now will that make the 2013 GT500 a 50th car? If so do you think that will add to the nostalgia of the car for the future?

I dont think the GT500 will benefit . I heard all 50 of the 50th anniversary Shelby Cobras produced at Shelby America sold out immediately. 50 years of Shelby applies more to Cobras.

That's kinda what I figured too. Plus with the production model being a 2013 the year wouldn't be a true anniversary I suppose

It seems every year there is a historic Shelby anniversary of some kind. There might as well bring another.

The Shelby Mustang actually started in 1965 so if they were going to do a 50th anniversary GT500, I think it would link to this date.
