You can run, but you can't hide!
LOL stealth doesn't work with a 500 since it still sounds like it's going to kick your ash.

Thanks for all the opinions guys. Seems like everyone really is going different ways! Another thing to consider here is I'll probably be leasing this 500 (if all the terms are as they appear). This will be my first lease, so I really need to look into how the options affect the residual and monthly payments. Theres a fully optioned Black on Black 500 less than 30 miles from my house. After emailing tons of dealers, its looks like the glass roof is a rare option, especially without other options. I'm also 25, no wife, no kids, so the PP causing a harsher ride just doesn't really bother me. I wish I could drive these puppies to compare!

Another thing to consider is the premium you will pay when it comes time to replace the tires, which you can't rotate because of the different sizes front to back. If you aren't planning on stripe delete, which flavor appeals to you, the narrower SVT PP or the wider base model version?

All things being equal, the cost of the SVT PP will get you the EP & glass roof. 2 big thumbs up for the latter 2 options, they rock in my wife's GT.

I'd say get the non-SVTPP and put a pulley and a tune on that *****!

I'll be doing the stripe delete. A lot of this really comes down to me going with a lease. I don't want to do a ton of mods on a leased ride. But a drop and some other little things wouldn't be too bad. However, if the fully optioned 500 doesn't vary to much on payments from the lower optioned one, I'd just go with the former. Anyway, when I figure it out I'll post it up!

Get the SVTPP- you'll regret not getting it.
Get the glass roof.
Get the Nav.
Pass on the Recaro's.

You've probably already made your decision, but I think the svtpp is a must, especially if you lease because you will want the gears and suspension parts for sure. The package probably wouldn't change your payments much but those parts wouldn't be something you could easily get back or get your money back out of if you added them via aftermarket. You could buy different wheels later and easily swap them back to sell or use on another car when you turned the car back in.

The recaros have been the nicest surprise...I thought I wanted them before but after having them a while, I think it was by far the best choice. They feel so amazing. Riding in my 08 feels like I am sitting on a 60`s model pickup bench seat compared to these. It just adds another level of confidence while driving. That said, if it were my daily driver, the getting in and out part might be a drag after a while. It will be interesting to see how well, they hold up over time because the basic Ford leather looks awful after a short time on that left seat edge...just a low grade quality of leather that I hope is much better with the recaros.

The electronics pkg is probably not worth the price tag to most, unless you are a gadget geek like me and don't want to spend a bunch of time and money adding aftermarket parts. I love all of the features of the pkg and use it every time I go out.

The glass roof was a toss up for me because every other vehicle I've purchased with a sunroof, I told myself I'd use it all the time and never ever did. I also didn't like the missing stripes so that was another negative on top of the cost (not an issue for you since you are going stripe delete). Good luck with whatever you decide and Hook 'em!

Thanks for the input! I've decided since I'm leasing I'm going to try and go with the fully loaded 500 here in Dallas. Now i'm just working on the leasing process and trying to figure out what to do with my current GT.

Whatever you do don't put any of that God awful burnt orange / puke orange color on it in any way. Would hate for you to ruin a perfectly good GT500 like that. Boomer!

by the way I want you guys to take a look at these #s and see what you think.

MSRP on this shelby is $59,905
My price before TT&L is $51,476

These are the #s they're giving me for 36 months and 15k a year

Residual $31,842
Money Factor 0.00228

Now the residual is pretty much the same according to there calculator. That can't be right... given this is just they're calculator. I sent them an email and will give them a call first thing Monday morning. Just thought I'd get some opinions on anyone who has leasing experience.
