I know the front air dam is loud, but the grill with the headlights and scooped hood above is great looking!

In the rear, I'll take that any day over the **** Camaro diapered stocker 10/11. However, I'd prefer L & R exhaust rather than center.

500+HP and the handling/braking package could make it a contender.

Keep in mind this is the 'concept'. There may be further tweaks.

SCOTTSDALE – Jan. 18, 2010 – Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI:PK), will fulfill the dreams of enthusiasts by returning the legendary Shelby GT350 to its lineup of American performance cars. The Shelby team unveiled a supercharged concept version of the Mustang-based 2011 Shelby GT350 to the surprise of thousands gathered at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Opening Night Gala to honor the 45th anniversary of the first GT350 and first Shelby big block Cobra.

You are right. I guess that's what happens when you try to polish a turd!

I just got home form Barrett/Jackson and well I am very disappointed in this.. $70,000 plus for this, the GT350 was not meant to be like this, IMO.. Looks like they threw a bunch of plastic at it. $34,000 on top of the GT base price, no thanks.. UGH , WTF are they thinking over there, I told one of the guys in a GT 350 Shirt "What did You do"? Really looks like a JC Whitney Special Body KIt... But no offense to JC Whitney. I will post up the video tomorrow and it was unanimous with my Mustang Buddies thumbs down especially the price tag........ On the other hand the GT/CS in Grabber Blue was very nice!

THEY BLEW IT!

I don't understand your complaint. We already know the 5.0's higher compression won't allow too much boost...

I am not complaining about the blower at all, just saying putting a 3.4 or 4.0L blower on a car is hardly "slapping on" a blower or ho-hum as it's being complained about by others. Boost isn't everything either, since the volume is bigger it will produce larger numbers at lower boost, so low boost isn't an indication that it's a POS by any stretch and probably the reason they went with the bigger blower.

While it isn't perfect, it certainly isn't a sticker, hood scope and FRPP parts that everyone complained about with the previous Shelby. I like the effort and with just seeing pics it's the best treatment of the '10+ I've seen, I could even stomach the rear.

Overall, while I wouldn't pay 34K on top of a GT it's a **** fine effort and I think we should be thankful that in today's climate, economy and oil prices, Shelby is going out on a limb and creating something like that at all.

P.S. I completely agree with you here...

He just looked at me and handed me the brochure. The body kit is way over the top, less is more. The GT 350 should be a light weight no frills road racer and he also told me the "kit" is available to purchase separately and gave me the parts list with ID numbers. The kit does not flow with the body at all and the back up lights looks like crap... I am really having trouble with this one, the GT 500 looks so much better.

Are they simply appearance pieces or do they add to high speed handling?

There is no reference to any of the styling to aide in the performance of the car except the side skirts help direct air to the rear brakes. You do get a Shelby 45th anniversay jacket, stickers and the passenger side air bag signed by Shelby. I will try to scan this sheet with all the parts and it also states that Shelby keeps all the "Take off Parts" so I am led to believe that we buy the car and they do the mods and keep the parts they take off.

So it looks like white is the only color they will use for the upgrade?

All in all not bad, but like the Shelby GT which I liked better the Bullitt performed identical at $10,000 less. I am sure the Boss will do the same at $25,000 less.

Ilove the center air vent hoods on the 10+ Stangs (Salleen, Shelby, concept Steeda) but the rest of it yeh it really sucks! Would those side skirts, or any 2010 side skirts fit an 05-09 Mustang?

Reminds me more of the bloated (but I did like them) 1969-1970 GT350s as opposed to the race inspired '65 GT350s. That being said . . . . I dig the motor!
