That's awesome. My girlfriend just said "That just looks like someone put a ghetto body kit on a Mustang". She knows her Mustangs almost as well as I do, so she's educated and aware on Mustangs and their history. I concour 100%. It is ghetto/ricer looking. I'm disappointed in the appearance of the car, especially at the price.
I know it'll have it's fans who'll line up to pay that money for that car. Performance wise, I'm sure it'll be a great car. $75,000 great? I doubt it. Worse though is the looks, in my opinion. If it was $75k and was also one of the best looking Mustangs ever, I could accept it more. But in my opinion, this doesn't come close to looking as good as the current GT500.

Hopefully it involves bigger tires, the HP doesn't mean much if it can't be applied to the pavement.

Really, a major disappointment. Way overpriced. Old enough to remember when "Shelby" meant something. The GT500 is a great car, but the truth be told, it is 99.9% Ford engineered and 100% Ford built. In all fairness it should have been called SVT. The Shelby name added 10k to the price. This is a kit like 100 other kits. Do you really think this will be collectable? The price of recently made Shelby Mustangs has fallen like a rock. A well equipped regular GT has retained its value far better

i dig the hood, my rear tail light bezels, and the depth of the grille opening. Engine looks great minus the Giant shelby wording.

AMEN! If it's done up like the Boss 302R with a Watt's link and without the blower at around 1/2 the price of this one, it should do well. Hmm, sounds similar to the advent of the '69-'70 Boss 302 and ending of GT350 production at the time.

Let's recap:
Ground effects
Horrible wheels
tacky interior treatment
supercharger slapped on stock engine
I was thinking about what Shelby could do do make this a truly special mustang. Maybe they would seam weld it and throw in the IRS and/or SLA front suspension...lol.
I had the live feed going and the wife said "eh, don't really like it". I also thought the laughable reveal of such an "important" car spoke volumes as to the capabilities of that company. At least we know why Ford didn't let Shelby have anything to do the GT500....
Someone call the 80's and have them take back their wheels and ground effects. How embarrassing.
