Insurance..... Who do you use?

I currently have Geico insurance and my rate is $1331 every 6 months on the Shelby. I have started looking around and received quotes from a few other companies.

Who do you use and who would you recommend staying away from?

After hearing a couple of consumer stories on here I'd stay away from Progressive for sure. Can't say what they were or who they were but it was some wrong kind of stuff.

I use Hocheim Prairie. Probably only a regional company but I have a real agent and from everyone I know that uses them they are quick to pay and don't **** you on the values.

But aren't there usage restrictions?

I was with State Farm for a lot of years and they were good. But switched to Safeco with an old agent because he could combine with my small ranch/homeowners policy and I got a good discount. State Farm won't cover my land due to horses.

They have restrictions yes. I used 10k miles a year as my mileage. Car has to be garaged, not raced (hehe) or highly modified.

If you have any veterans in the family or are a vet yourself check out USAA, not sure on price comparison but customer service and other services offered are outstanding.

State Farm, $600/year for my 2011 GT. Also, any major provider will bundle your home/auto/life, etc., so you can expect savings there.
(no tickets, no accidents)

I'll second the "stay away from Progressive" comment, I was paying around 125 a month for my GT when I had then, they doubled my rate with the GT500 then slapped on another 60+ bucks for defective equipment ticket.

It was enough for me to go check out GIECO and now I pay around 96 bucks a month for the GT500.

Hagerty is not what it seems . If you check all the restrictions you will find the only time your covered is if you are coming from or going to a show. State farm is about the same price for actual ins .
If you want collectors try Grundy Worldwide and Chumm, less restrictive, better rates .

Yes.

Hagerty won't cover the car if you drive it to and from work which blows. That's about 50% of my driving. It's ok for a car like the R that sits but not for a car you want to drive.

I use Farm Bureau Insurance in Tennessee. I pay $1000 for a 12 month policy for my 2011 Shelby GT500 Convertible. That's full coverage with a $500 deductible. Of course my driving history isn't the best in the world but not the worse either.

I have American collectors insurance on my 13 gt500 allowed 5000 mile a year on any kind of driving and the car has to be garaged but I feel the best thing about them is that I have the car insured for what I paid 60000 and it is only 860 a year. Try them have my 88 coupe with them as we'll they are great.
