Insurance Costs of GT500

Hi guys,

I had a 2007 GT with a Saleen blower that I sold. I'm looking to get another Mustang but I'm on the fence with just getting a new 5.0 GT or if I should spring for the GT500 (if I can even find one).

I was curious if the car insurance premiums are a lot higher compared to the GT?

I'm not concerned if I can afford it or not...I'm just trying to determine all factors to help decide if it's worth it.

I've also been search all local dealerships in NJ and can only find a black one...not interested in washing it everyday! I'm willing to be patient to find one, but it's not looking good around here to find any.

Thanks
Mark

Count on 25 - 35% additional premium depending on driving record.

Mine ended up being $10 less a month than my 2005 GT. I'm 31 and have had about four years now of clean driving.

$11 a month more than I was paying for my 2010 Mustang GT, and my GT500 is a convertible. That's through USAA...

Insurance premiums are different for everyone depending on...driving record, driving experience, place of residence, and in some states your credit...

best thing you can do if you really want to know about the cost to insure a car is to call your existing insurance company and ask for a quote...sometimes if you get a vin number from a car that you are interested and give it to them...they can give you more of an exact quote.
