While I love all the fastbacks from '65 - '78 (yes, even the largely unloved II's), the '70 fastback has always been my favorite body style. The closer the '10 is to the '70, the better for me, personally.

I know others have different opinions, and I respect them all. This is purely one person's subjective perspective...

Frankly, I think it looks better with the blackout treatment. More ominous.

But either way, I think it is all good. Nice to have such distinctive differences between the three levels, IMHO. Gives people with seriously differing tastes something to love, and it's all Mustang...

Either way, both look really good.

I don't have any insider knowledge of this, just guessing.
May be a guess, but you may also be onto something there.

Just hope it doesn't detract from the Cobra image. Those guys can get a bit mean...

Once again I think they where going for something close to this.

I don't think we'll be seeing inboard turn signals. Look at this pic CLOSELY. You know how Ford has been putting a reflector on the CAMO on the fender behind the headlights? These inboard turn signals look like they're part of the CAMO again. It's pretty obvious when you look at how the lines of the grille line up with the pieces of camo openings, as well as how the body-color panel between the headlights & grille lines up. Those turn signals in the grille are just on the camo to throw us off.

FWIW, I just wanna say I LOVE the new interior, and LOVE the blackout panel on the GT grille.

More likely early working model to evaluate the concept. Frankly, I'm glad it died (if it truly has). Getting to the point of too many lights on the front as it is, IMHO...

because it looks good.

it is too early to know what they are actually going to do but if it stays black then i am sure people will just have them painted. me, i like the black out look... subtle with an anti bling bling look ftw!

edit: wow, my bad. i had not refreshed in a bit when i wrote this for a reply about the blackout front end of the gt.

I think that's the shadows playing tricks on your eyes. I don't see it.

i do not believe that is stitching but the dash plate with the strange pattern and reflection.

however there does appear to e a couple of different materials on the wheel.

Oops, guess that was the dash that I thought was leather. But the steering wheel clearly has suede inserts, even in other shots.
