GT500 Grille, Interior & Decklid Badge
Was gassing up some vehicles from the Flatrock auction this am. When I came out of the station there was a grabber blue GT 500 at the pumps . Had a close up look at the interior and exterior. The whole deal is a freshning of the 2005-2009 models . It appeared much more upscale on the interior and up close had a lot of neat curves and refinements you can't see on the photos .The driver said ,"Please don't talk to me and don't take any pictures, please." I honoured his request, but this car is really KOOL !
I will be the first to admit that I have not been following much if any of the 2010 news and updates, so maybe this has been known for a while- but that's what I noticed first- the SVT engraving. That's good to see IMO. I thought SVT was basically long gone....... glad to see some involvement.
Something I noticed, maybe i'm just not looking right though. In the V6 pictured here, I don't see fogs in the lower grill. In the last spy shots of the V6 it had lower fogs. Could this mean 2 different V6 set ups? Is one the pony package and the other regular, or might one have more power???

+1

Was the dash soft-touch?
The whole thing looks great!!!!! I love the heat-shield texture on the aluminum dash!

The dash looked like carbon fibre,I didn't touch the dash pad to see if it was soft touch or not . The interior was blck with red leather inserts in the seats, the console and centre stack looked more upscale and pricey . I think I saw some SVT insignias on the sill plates and near or on the shifter. The quarter windows and greenhouse is all carryover . The door is not cut down but has a quick swoop up to meet the rear fender. The top line of the side charcter line is definitely beaded like on the 69-70 stangs. The black lower valence and rocker panels are outsanding, but I,d like to see them body coloured for comparison sake. The gas door is round and flush and must have an inside release. The wheels, stripes and the new grille surround are outstanding. I'm already planning my next Mustang. By the way I could hardly hear the engine while standing beside it But the exhaust note was strong on acceleration.

Okay, so the first thing I wanna say is... "I'm glad to see all three vics in the same pic."
Secondly, I love that they have finally spread the SHELBY lettering across the rear like the original concept in '06.
Thirdly, I noticed the rocker strips are different on the GT500. They have a seperating line going down the center. I like it personally. Breaks it up just a little.
More importantly, does anyone see a hanging key fob in the GT500 interior shot?! Does this mean that we might actually finally get an all-in-one key?!?!?!?!
I sure hope so. Not to start this debate again, it went on forever last time. Just something I noticed.

I kinda like it over there too. Doesn't look wrong in either spot really.
