I have 2010 GT500 and want to do something to the exhaust to get the car to sound as mean as it looks and drives. Don't get me wrong, the stock exhaust sounds good. It is a nice conservative sound with a very good tone. But I am looking for something a little louder. Not necessarily different tone like a lot of the current axle backs provide but just a louder note of the same tone I currently am getting out of the stock exhaust.

Unfortunately, YouTube doesn't seem to have a lot of 2010 GT500 videos of aftermarket exhaust setups.

I'm looking for opinions/advice on what the best way to achieve this type of sound would be.

Also I read that changing the mufflers on this car is fairly easy to do on your own, so right now I'm thinking about buying the magnaflow axle back muffler deletes with the stainless 4" tips. If they are truly easy to change myself, then maybe I'll use these during the summer months for car shows and cruises and reinstall my stock mufflers for daily driving in the spring/fall. My only worry is that this car would be way too loud without mufflers. I don't want to be "that guy" who is blowing out ear drums on the road with my exhaust even at 1500 rpms, but I would like it to wail when accelerating!

I love my Borla Stinger axle backs on my 2010 GT500. Easy to install...took me under an hour. They have 4" tips, look and sound great. Similar tone to stock but louder. Vid clips do them no justice. Really nice deep growl. Right from idle though the full rpm range they sound awesome!!! They sound great on deceleration too. When you stomp on it you will hear it roar!!

In august, near detroit, we have something each year called the woodward dream cruise and i plan to have something by then. im definitely going to check out the borlas based on what u've told me! i'll keep u posted as to what i wind up doing. thanks again!
