hmmm, wondering if I will be waiting then to. Was hoping to get the car in April, maybe early May. I ordered my 2011 GT on Feb 2nd, DORA processed on Feb 11th. Thanks Jeff!!! My DORA doesnt say what type of order it is....just says "priority 1" at the top. I was told this is a good thing. My garage is still full of junk anyway, I have to clean it out bigtime to make room for the new pony!

 

You may still get yours sooner. I think the issue we are talking about is regarding the Shelbys. Though Jeff or anyone that may know better, please correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Dealer stock orders will be built first. If they find no problems with those units they will be shipped right away. If there are problems than those changes will be made to the retail units and they will ship first. Then they'll go back and correct the stock orders. You're rolling the dice with a dealer stock order. If they come out of the factory ok you'll probably get it sooner. If you stick with the retail order it will be built a few weeks later but probably come on time.

 

Hey Chris, and everyone, Ford is in the process of "system fill" for Mustang orders. For this, they don't use retail orders to fill the plant with startup orders. I have a memo from the regional scheduler for Ford. She states that no retail orders are used at this time. They are only using stock units for system fill, and will do so for a few weeks. That is why Stinger1982s order wasn't given a VIN yet. It was a retail order. Same as Chris's, Rick's etc. They will schedule these soon, but not at the start.
