GT-500 6 spd. trans. questions..?

Does the 6 spd. have the same gear ratios as the 2011 GT, as in 6th gear being the overdrive,and 5th gear 1 to 1 ratio?

Well, I can't confirm the first 4 speeds, but 5th and OD are the same.

No, the GT500 5th and 6th are not the same as the 2011 GT.

Boy it'd be nice for mpgs if the 2011 GTs had a .50 sixth gear! But at the same time a 3.66 first is gonna kick ***, especially with 3.73s!

I believe the GT500 is still using the T-6060 from previous years, so I don't think anything transmission wise has changed.

The GT500 continues to use the T6060
The rest use the MT82 Getrag

Based on what I've read the MT-82 is nowhere near strong enough for the GT500. Perhaps it can be improved upon over the years as the Tremec designs were.
